Applications are sought for the position of Reception/Administrative Assistant located in Haymarket.
If you have highly developed reception, administrative and excellent oral and written communication skills combined with proven ability to multi-task and prioritise we are interested in hearing from you.
Essential Experience: & Qualifications:
• Manage the reception desk and switchboard • Screen phone calls, emails, enquiries and requests, and handling them appropriately • Deal efficiently with incoming email, faxes and post • Produce documents e.g. reports, publications and presentations • Database experience with very strong attention to detail • Assist other staff members with administrative tasks as required
Desired Experience: & Qualifications:
• Previous, solid experience working in Reception/Administrative Assistant role • Sound administrative skills, well organised, and capable of developing and working within structured office systems • Able to communicate effectively with senior union officials, members and staff, exercise discretion and respond effectively to enquiries and requests • Strong skills in Microsoft Office word processing and excel spreadsheets, and the use of fax and photocopying machines • Good written and oral communication skills combined with a flexible and positive nature • Professional presentation and attitude • Basic problem solving • Proactive work ethic, punctual and reliable • Ability to work autonomously with a team environment • Knowledge of trade unions and their objectives
