04 September 2001 Circular To: All AffiliatesRE: Employment Information Day in Auburn LGA
Dear Colleague,
The Auburn Community Development Working Group has organised an Employment Information Day for Thursday, November 15, 2001 between 10.00am and 6.00pm at Auburn Civic Centre (Cnr Susan Street & Queen Street, Auburn). The day is targeting the long-term unemployed, high school students, mature aged workers, refugees and newly arrived migrants, people with disabilities and other members of the community. A number of employment and training seminars will also be held on the day. The Labor Council are supporting the Community Development Working Group by running a union stall on the day, however we will need assistance in staffing the stall on the day. If you are able to spare a staff member for two hours between 10.00am and 6.00pm, could you please contact Susan Sheather on 9286-1614 or s.sheather@labor.org.au or myself on 9286-1631 or m.morey@labor.org.au If you would like to display any material such as pamphlets or stickers on the stall, would you please contact me or post materials to Labor Council of NSW, 10th Floor, 377-383 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
